I think your theory has some validity. The mass importation of apunehs from India coincides with the rise to power of the current crop of apunehs like Tharm, Shagyourmama, Iswaran, bala, Nathan, etc. Imagine 15 cabinet ministers, and there are 4 apunehs. I observed that many of the PAP kindergartens are full of these Little Ah Nehs..
Sent my nephew a few times to his nursery class, seen these female Ah nehs flocking in groups when sending their kids to their classes.
