Pappies created GRC to perpetuate their hold on power...no Minister would dare to stand in any SMC...don't believe? Just watch next GE. Now all current Cabinet ministers will still hide in GRC...united they stand, divided they fall.

Georgie Boy anticipated that he could makan Aljunied GRC when the last GE was first called. When he saw the mammoth crowd at WP rallies, he knew his balls would be roasted. GRC is double edge sword. If the PAP wins, they win 4,5, 7 seats at one shot. But when they lose, they also lose big. They are discovering that now. Right now, got 7 potential PAP high flyers tulan they cannot collect $17K a month because WP is sitting in their chairs.
