americans don't want those jobs too. even above minimum wage. to entice them to take those jobs, base pay must be usd64k per year plus overtime pay of 40k per year plus health, dental, vision and life insurance benefits for worker and family plus disability coverage for life plus pension and bonuses. pension alone will suck the life out of any future profitability of the company. health benefits as part of the pension and retirement plan apply to both worker and spouse, and they are for life. state, county and city governments have to deal with these workers everytime contract term is about to expire. they cannot hire (cheap) mexican workers like private enterprises can. this is one of the main reasons why california is broke. :*:

Conservancy charges are not the only source of income for cleaners. More cleaners work in private properties including commercial and industrial properties where the owners can afford to pay more than they do now for cleaning services.

They are not the "struggling rate payer" as you claim.

The struggling rate payers are the residents of Auckland city who face huge rate bills which rise a lot faster than the rate of inflation.
