Pattaya Police Take Action Against Soi 6 Security Guards for Assault on Tourists
thepattayanews.com

Pattaya-

The Pattaya City Police have detained a trio of security guards implicated in a recent violent altercation with tourists that we covered in full HERE. The incident, which has sparked widespread condemnation and raised concerns over the city’s image as a tourist destination, was captured on a viral video and has since circulated widely.

As the video could offend sensitive viewers, it will not be shared in this article.

At approximately 11:36 p.m. on May 26, 2024, Police Colonel Navin Teerawit, superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, alongside his deputies, led a team to apprehend the individuals involved. The suspects, identified only as Mr. Ball, aged 27, Mr. Tom, aged 36, and Mr. Ice, aged 24, were taken into custody for questioning and further legal action.
The guards were reportedly part of an independent “freelance” contractor group for multiple independent bars, but not directly associated with any particular bar or group.
The suspects have admitted to their involvement in the incident, with Mr. Ball disclosing that he was allegedly initially assaulted by a tourist, resulting in injuries that required medical attention. Despite this provocation, the guards’ response has been widely criticized as excessive and damaging to Pattaya’s reputation, due to primarily one guard being seen appearing to kick a tourist in the head who was lying on the ground after being beaten previously.

Police Colonel Navin Teerawit has reprimanded the guards for their conduct, emphasizing that their role is to ensure the safety of tourists rather than instigate violence. He underscored the importance of restraint and the necessity of involving law enforcement to de-escalate conflicts.
In response to the incident, the superintendent has ordered a strict legal follow-up, ensuring that the guards face the consequences of their actions. The case is further supported by CCTV footage, which documents the escalation of the confrontation, providing key evidence for the investigation.
This incident has prompted a call for security personnel to maintain professionalism and composure, highlighting the delicate balance between enforcing order and preserving the welcoming atmosphere that is vital to Pattaya’s tourism industry.
The exact legal charges facing the guards were not immediately disclosed by Pattaya police.
Despite many rumors online, the condition of the tourist involved in the incident who appeared to be kicked in the head by a guard was still unclear. His friends who were also involved had apparently declined to file police reports or make any legal accusations and were trying to put the incident behind them without legal charges. However, due to the viral nature of the incident, that may now be impossible.
The Pattaya News will continue to give updates about this story as they are officially released by relevant authorities.

So it was 3 against 2 ? Thais never fight 1 to 1.

The last guard who went for a "direct free kick" after the AMDK had already gone down is a typical Thai conduct.

You go to another country, spend money on them, fuck their girls ... in the their hearts they are jealous of you. You give these people an opportunity to vent their jealousy, they will grab it with both hands.

These AMDK behave like big shot in Thailand, which has never been colonised by a Western power and hence does not have the colonial mentality (apart from the prostitutes). They deserve to be brought down to size.

PATTAYA: Police arrested three security guards for assaulting two foreign customers in a violent dispute over payment of a friend's bill at a bar on Sunday evening.
The three guards were identified by police as Ball, 27, Tom, 36, and Ice, 24. They were charged at Pattaya police station after allegedly seriously injuring two foreign customers at the Helicopter pub on Soi 6 about 5pm.
Police said the three men confessed to the crime. Mr Ball said a foreign customer shoved and punched him first. His nose was broken and he needed six stitches, he said. He apologised, saying he and his colleagues had lost control and overreacted.
The brawl was recorded by onlookers using mobile phones. Videos showed a security guard was attacked first. The three guards fought back violently, repeatedly bashing the visitors and leaving one of them unconscious.

Samorn, a 38-year-old cashier at the bar said the tourists arrived in a group of three. Two of them paid their bills but the other had kept moving from table to table and had left without paying his bill.
The two visitors were annoyed when the cashier told them to pay their missing friend's bill. Initially they refused to pay and seized the mobile phones of other customers to prevent them from recording the dispute, according to Ms Samorn, who said she called in the security guards who patrol the street.
The two visitors paid the outstanding bill, 2,800 baht. One of them then shoved a security guard out of the way, and a brawl erupted. The cashier said she had feared being hurt if the guards had not shown up.
Police said neither of the tourists had so far filed a complaint.

Tiagong the bar padded the AMDK's bills. They just stuffed other staff bills to the AMDK who were looking drunk.

AMDK challenged and Thais came up with excuse saying girl was punched in the nose to justify the assault, which turned out to be bullshit.

Shoved means attack first? And can justify Beckham free kick?

Thais are bullies
Thais will treat people with respect only if these people are civilised.
These Brits are known as Louts. Always drunk causing problems at football Matches and Spanish resorts. Always inching for a fight.
It's British culture immortalised in Elton Johns song " Saturday nights alright to fight".

The Brits will not press charges. It's part of the lifestyle to sometimes lose and sustain injuries.

If you buy the girls a drink, that cost will be on your bill. Girls won't sweet talk with you if no drink. It's common knowledge.

The problem is they didn't buy so many. It's common in Pattaya if they see you are drunk they will pad your bills.
