Why should they?
All they need to do is to get one third of the seats in parliament and be a supervisor.
They don't have to dirty their hands, let PAP do the dirty work of introducing the policies
WP just check and supervise PAP. Anything goes wrong just slap and wake them.

This doesn't make sense.

First, when the WP takes over, they will not be the opposition anymore. They will be the driver. Then it will be the PAP's turn to critique.

Second, if you believe that there is no dirty work to do, then you also have to believe that PAP did not do anything for us. In that case, they are also not responsible for messing up Singapore. Obviously this is not true. Obviously whoever takes over from the PAP will have to run Singapore. Obviously it is difficult to run Singapore.

In fact I mentioned some other place: WP is not a co-driver. A co-driver is somebody who knows how to drive, and who can take over when the driver decides to quit. The WP are not yet ready. They are at most the navigator. I would call them a front seat passenger. If they don't learn how to drive quickly we will all be fucked.

Have to agree that the word co-driver isn't a good idea. You can only have a co-driver if you have a separate centre of power. WP is distinct, but with no real power and prefers not to flex its muscles all the time.

Not possible. Structural corruption is so great, Leegime, legislative, executive, judiciary and even corporates are 1. This serpent needs to be chopped and the limbs joining what that is supposed to be independent must be burned.

Or why don't come 2016, shake the BIG TREE real hard and you can see the many monkeys dislodged and start falling to the ground and scatter away in all directions.

Second option is nice, there you can see the central trunk of the BIG TREE, and know whether it is still worthy to remain or be chopped down and without the monkey hanging around it, protecting it , you can then also have more helping of the fruits left behind by the monkeys.

With 9 MPs and NCMPs, they can start with a parliamentary leader and deputy leader first.

I believe they have started that. LTK is the leader and Sylvia vice leader.

We'll just deal with them the way we've been dealing with the PAP for many years: These are clearly good, competent and wise people. They'll know what's best for us. Look at their past track record. If they decide on asset enhancement then surely it's for our good and for the children's good. If they decide on 5.5 million, 7 million, clearly they know best. No need active citizen involvement in politics.

It's not about telling. They should listen to input or be like the PAP. Of course its up to Low and Lim to decide (bet you the rest of the CEC cant move them).

The other way round. Sylvia as leader and LTK as adviser. Dont forget when PAP was in opposition, Lee already called himself leader of the opposition.
