I was shocked to learn that too.
But, it is the fact.
When I asked them the main reason why they want to migrate, they all say is for the sake of their next generation.
So basically, lesser mortal singaporeans have lost all confidence on PAP already.

FTs are not stupid too, they can see why the native born sinkies are leaving. They do not want their next generation to be subjected to the PAP crap too. I think most of these FTs/PRs have no real intention of making S'pore their permanent home. They are here to milk the system for as much money as they can, and than go back to their home countries to live like a king.

Just asked those who have FT colleagues and they will tell you what you have just said.
Those I asked stay on as PR only or one of them converted to Singaporean. Only the Thrash will want Sg citizenship.
Just ask around if you don't believe.

The scary part is that on one hand, the collective wealth of Singapore is being transferred by the tens of billions of dollars to wealthy countries through losses in GIC and Temasek, and on the other hand, tens of billions of dollars are being transferred to poorer countries through FT wages. These buggers are remitting hundreds of million of dollars every month to their home country to be spend by their families in their home countries and hence stimulate the economies of their home countries. These monies could have been spend in singapore by native born sinkies while benefitting this country.

In your mind, recall among all your singapore born friends and relatives and ex-colleagues, how many of them has emigrated overseas, or permanently moved away from S'pore. And than add on top of this number how many of them had children born overseas.

For me: The number is 14.
