The scare that PAP so often throws at us is that with more opposition members in parliament, with more checks and balances, Singapore would freeze! Geez, I'd rather be freezed than be treated like dafts with spurs in my hides, oblivious to the money that I have in CPF and be ripped off by the exorbitant prices of HDB flats! Which till this day has screwed my mind with this English word called 'SUBSIDY'. Just what the fook is subsidised housing? Where HDB and their out-sourced contractors can make enough money to the extent that they can give you discount up to 15%?? when cooling measures are called?

If the 'buying and fixing' continues ad nauseam (solving problems with pork barrel money) the future of our children and our grandchildren are at stake. We do not need nepotism. We do not need toady and sychophant. We need truth. We need honesty. We need transparency. We need sincerity and human kindness.

Singapore got much worse on her citizen the moments these white scums made all the essential needs like housing, health care, transport and utilities a Corp run entity.

This started way back in Woody Goh time.

They did this to enhance their pocket seen with those incredible salaries not to mentioned shares in such entities.

Only the common folks suffer.

privatization was the only solution back then to ensure efficiency and prevent traditional corruption (accountability tru bottom line)

but privatization only works well if there is sufficient regulatory authority to ensure monopolies don't exploit their economic position.

PAP has failed to regulate their own privatized entities. i am sure GCT did not act on his own in pushing for privatization.

I don't want to be too quick to judge what the verdict will be for the SCDF corruption case.

So is SCDF a corp or pte entity?

Come on, be honest. They did it to line their pockets, make it looked like if there were corruption it does not happen in their own backyard and still make sure whenever there is corruption within their ranks, to cover it up or make it looked like there was no corruption.

So saga like AIM. Got corrupt or not?

I fail to see the benefits of privatising a public service. A Public Service is a service given back to the people and not to make money from. In addition, it is quite ironical that PAP tried to regulate these entities with their own people. If you truly want a neutral monitoring body, invite the opposition to oversee it.
