<!--end storyhighlight--><!-- ~RENDER PAGE MARKER~ --><!-- CONTENT : start -->SMRT目前有近100名“服务大使”，年龄介于20至68岁。这些“服务大使”会分早、午、晚3个繁忙时段，遍布在政府大厦、莱佛士坊、武吉士、裕廊东、宏茂桥等人流量多的地铁站。
他们会穿着红色制服、戴着白色手套，在车厢门口疏导上下列车的人群，有时也会亲自上地铁，提醒乘客注意行车时的安全、帮助有需要的乘客等等。
曾经做了33年警察的张树木（61岁）就是其中一名“服务大使”。以前的他，维持的是社会治安，现在的他，维持地铁站的秩序。
平时在繁忙时段工作时，他和另一名同事的责任，就是观察整个月台的情况，维持月台上的秩序，并且帮助一些需要帮助的乘客，例如：有乘客晕倒或受伤，他便会立即上前查看，通知站长及电召救护车等等。
当了两年的“服务大使”，张树木透露，有时确实会碰到“问题”乘客，对他大吼，但还是得笑脸迎人，耐心的给予劝告。
“所幸这样的人并不多，当我劝告乘客不要越过红线，要先下后上，或是叫他们给老幼病残孕让座时，他们大多时候都会微笑的接受。”

First when the crowd came, and the trains were packed even during off-peak hours, their brain tank thought "hey let's remove the seats! then we can carry more passengers!"

Now, they hire people to shove passengers in to carry more passengers.

Next, they will create an overhead platform to make you climb up to (and lie horizontally). Or they will make it mandatory for passengers to board the trains hugging one another (ever seen couples boarding trains?), as two standing passengers hugging each other closely take up only x1.5 times the space of 2 standing passengers.

So going by theory you can pack in 4 passengers within 3 passengers' standing space.

Makes a lot of sense huh. :oIo:
