Finally! An end to religion.

Hypnotherapy can hardly be considered science. It's as credible as Greta.

Then I suggest you step up your reading on this topic. We tend to scoff at things we don't understand. I randomly pulled the below links from a search, there are many more.

Yes there is therapeutic value in hypnotherapy. But this thread is about the scientific discovery of alien life on Mars.

You posted about past life regressions which is not scientifically verifiable. Very different from therapeutic hypnotherapy.

It all started with therapeutic hypnotherapy. They were trying to identify the cause and source of pain etc. Then discovered the pain was caused, not by events in this life, but in a previous life. Life that was on earth or on other planets.

NASA and ESA said they COULD find evidence of life on Mars. Hence I am linking the two topics together. Can you not see it? Perhaps you need to read Michael Newton's books.

Can you post the relevant section/chapter?

Oh dear, I can't remember which chapter(s). But here're the links to the ebooks. Treat them as easy bed-time reading. I did that and learned a new perspective on things.

Any section in particular that left a deep impression? So we can jump straight back into the discussion after a quick read. If not it's going to take a while... 366 pages

I wish I could give you an executive summary of those books! But like I said, sorry I can't recall. It's the subject matter, as a whole, that left a deep impression! Take your time to read.

Not likely, the area 51 nonsense is just a cover up for high tech weaponry being tested by the military.

It's a race to cross intergalactic space and we could be the first to achieve it.

AD Astra is worth a watch if you haven't done so already. Best viewed in IMAX.
I caught the show over the weekend. Interesting subject matter, but it was too slow for me except for the few action scenes. I actually went out of the cinema twice, to smoke.

Did u watch on IMAX? There's a lot of visual eye candy that's best viewed on IMAX. Love the way space travel was visualized by the director and his team.

The ending was very thought provoking. What if we are truly alone as they concluded? Or perhaps the first with inter planetary capabilities? Or perhaps the last.

Scanned the first few chapters briefly. For what it's worth, what he describes has been similarly reported by those who have taken Ayahuasca and other hallucinogens. It is literally a figment of the mind. Read somewhere that these substances don't unlock some secret knowledge of the universe, but simply unlocks what we already know (ie knowledge/facts that we have encountered in life)

I would posit that hypnotherapy and the like triggers similar effects in the brain. Maybe the pineal gland.

Rather than there being a mind/brain divide, it's better to think of the mind as a manifestation of the brain. It's all just a bunch of chemical reactions.

did someone mention executive summary?

well. I'm one of those twits put under hypnosis for the treatment of a very mundane problem.

stupid (or smart depending on your point of view) hypnotist kept pushing me further and further back in time because she was utterly convinced that I was actively blocking the truth from coming out to protect my fragile ego.

She pushed and pushed because she was not satisfied that my 4 year old trauma was the earliest memory I actually had. She was convinced that I had earlier ones. At some point, my world changed in that session and I saw stuff that melted my brain.

If you guys want more details, let me know.

I am perfectly happy and willing to tell you that there were no substances nor chemical imbalances in my brain at the time of it happening.

I did not watch on Imax. The special effects were very good and the way space travel was depicted was very interesting. Earth to dark side of moon (staging area) to beyond. By casting Tommy Lee Jones as his "deceased" father, we already knew from the get go that he was not dead. Too famous an actor to be used as a dead character.

Read the whole book lah. Not just the few chapters, with an open mind.

Holy mackeral, you were a subject and experienced it!:thumbsup: What did you see after she pushed further back beyond your earliest memory? This is interesting stuff. Must share.
