You've not heard of the owner of Philippine Airlines, Lucio Tan, then.
Go on a blind date thinking that they are chinese.

That hostel should be shut down.

Most of the Filipino tycoons are Chinese: Henry Sy, Lucio Tan, John Gokongwei, Andrew Tan, George Ty. They dominate every sector in the economy from retail to timber to manufacturing and real estate. All the principal banks are owned by the Chinese; as are the major airlines.
It's not just the economy. Jose Rizal, the father of modern Philippines, was a 5th generation Chinese on his mother's side. Other famous Filipino Chinese include Cardinal Sin, Corazon Aquino and Ferdinand Marcos (who was descended from a 15th century Chinese pirate, Lin Feng).
No wonder pinoyland has been in the dark ages for decades. All controlled by those hokkeins. Kia su. Kia si. N Kiam suip...tat y the economy never grow n the oligopolies continue.
She was looking desperately for toilet with urgent toilet needs when this happened. And note that she was stuck at the bottom of the lift shaft for 4 hours in total darkness with agonizing broken bones before she was rescued. Poor girl.
Pinoys are Malays lah ... making money is never a part of their culture ... ditto for Indonesia and Malaysia
....Unlike in indon land. Where their shops get burnt n they get shot.
I notice that in the Philippines guns are everywhere & it is is easy to legally own one. It's common for many households to have jagas. It's also common for businessmen to go about with bodyguards. Pinoy land is like one big cowboy town.
Where as in Indo guns are not easily available. During the riots in Indonesia people had to buy guns from the army to protect their property. During the unrest people had to band together to protect their housing estates.
Indon could be abit safer for the average Joe but I do not see much of a difference. In Indon,,shopping centres etc have armed guards and they are armed with M16s or carbines...in Pinoyland,,the guards have pistols and some places have shotguns. As an average Joe travelling in pinoyland,,i dont have any issues..just dont purposely go to 'unsafe' places and be safe. In Indon also the same thing. But at least in Pinoyland one can go get a gun for self defence. In Indon land get guns abit harder.
In general these 3rd world countries are all sama sama. Not safe. Unlike in Singapore,,,,which is slightly safer and the law has a long reach,,,
How she can enter a space of total darkness wo looking...
De lift door majiam like a normal toilet door...lidat oso can...![]()
During the 60s n b4. Pinoyland was the lumpar 1 economy in SEA. Spore sent scholars there to learn banking. Even SAF sent scholars there for training. But when marcos became corrupt. Everything went downhill n the oligarchs became more powerful. When Aquino took over. The institutions already weakened by Marcos could not handle the corruption due to 'democrazy'. Guess who the oligarchs r? The hokkein chinese. So wat can the locals do when everything is controlled by the oligarchs? Only thing is lucky the hokkeins there r well integrated in pinoyland. N pinoys assimilate anyone. Unlike in indon land. Where their shops get burnt n they get shot.
