Singapore nursing homes open "more affordable" branches in JB

SINGAPORE: Some nursing homes in
Singapore have set up branches in Malaysia's Johor Bahru to cater to
Singaporeans who are looking for a more affordable alternative.

At least
two nursing homes have opened branches there, while another is set to open early
next year.

One of them is LC private nursing home. It opened a 60-bed
branch there early this year.

Patients pay about half of what others pay
at its home in Singapore.

Four of its patients in Singapore have already
moved to the Johor Bahru facility.

Owner of the home, Dr Tony Chia, said
it is a more affordable option for those who are financially-strapped.

The Malaysian government have every right to ban this as it is taking up their valuable resources. In addition, Singapore Laws do not apply in Malaysia. If your loved ones are kicked killed rape robbed abused, it is not the nursing homes fault. You can go argue in the Kangaroo courts as it happened in Malaysia. The FAP solution is for all voting Singaporeans to live outside Singapore while the FAP live in decadence. Since 90 percent of land is owned by the government and they like to claim subsidized, there should be no problem in setting up affordable ones in Singapore. I heard from a friend in a phonecall how incensed people were hearing this piece of news. Good luck in this warm summer.

And whom did these ah pehs and ah mms vote for?

Ok but seriously... if i reach a stage whereby i have to be confined to a nursing home... there's no harm with some fresh air at some nice corners in JB?

THE FACT IS that the government can afford but chooses not to take care of its elderly citizens in Singapore is the most digusting..NEVER VOTE PAP.

Let everyone had the option. Stay in Sg or JB or wherever they want.
