F1 night race shifting to London?

This will not even get off the drawing board. This was rumored partly because Hamilton and Button mentioned something about how great it would be to have a F1 street circuit in London and the British press got wind of it.
When Westminsiter City Council look at the projected costs and disruption being caused, no way are they going to approve planning permission for the event. Central London would be gridlocked far worse than Singapore is now for the event
This is just another one of Eccelestone's pipe dreams.
Btw, what's the latest on extending Singapore GP's contract? Will 2012 be the last year we'll see Singapore F1?

When F1 contract runs out after 2012, it'll not be renewed b'cos they find that too much economic activities are lost through disruption.
They just signed a 5year deal, read it online just an hr ago.
This is one event to haolian to the rest of the world.
I don't think the STB (government) will want to let this go.

F1 too technical liao. put a useless guy also can win as long as car technologies are the best. Nascar everybody car abt the same, so it down to the driver courage and skill to win.
