Exploding chewing gum has killed a 25-year-old Ukrainian student.
The man was killed while working on his computer at his parents’ house on the weekend, according to Ukranews.
A police source was quoted as saying a “loud pop” was heard from the chemistry student’s room.
"When his relatives entered the room they saw that the lower part of the young man's face had been blown off," the source said.
It’s believed the student had an unusual habit of dipping his gum into citric acid before chewing it.
Packets of the acid as well as an unidentified explosive material were found on his desk.
It is not known whether he accidentally dipped the gum into the wrong substance before popping it into his mouth.
Police are still investigating the matter.
That was the biggest bubble he had ever blown ?
