A former drug trafficker wonders if he is still being given a second a chance in life, when he has to spend money and time applying for a new passport each time he goes for an overseas work trip.

The STOMPer, Leong, said:

"Yellow Ribbon Project helps some but there are some more people who need help.

"I am an ex drug-trafficker. But whenever I travel overseas I need to apply for a new passport.

"My boss has been questioning me why I need a company letter (for CNB) to apply for a new passport each time I go for my overseas job.

"Each time I make a new passport I need to pay $75 and I need to wait for two weeks for my passport.

"This passport is for single trip usage only.

"This really affects my career.

"I've been sentenced for 8 years and I have completed my jail term, but now, am I really getting a second chance?"

I ever had my passport confiscated indefinitely as my name was on a US watchlist. No charges no conviction. The reason they gave was passport was a privilege and not a right of singaporean citizens. my lawyer wrote in countless times to WKS and finally got it back 2 years later

I once make the mistake of missing my appointed time to collect my passport. Ended up waiting for lord knows i think maybe more than 1 hr for my queue number. Holy fuck you don't want to go to ica cos that place is fucking crowded with all the new FTS and shittyzens.
