Introduction

Transforming Proven Leaders into Global Executives

As the world economy continues to evolve, so do the requirements for global leadership. The Advanced Management Program (AMP) is a powerful, transformational, and personalized learning experience that explores the best management practices and latest strategies for sustaining a strategic advantage over the long term. You will emerge from AMP a visionary leader—equipped with the business expertise and global perspective to take your career and your organization to the next level of success.

What You Can Expect
AMP demands an uninterrupted eight-week commitment away from day-to-day demands—a rare opportunity to look beyond short-term solutions and tailor a "big picture" approach. Anchored by an intensive process of self-assessment and a personalized reflection and action plan, AMP helps you acquire the analytical and strategic skills to drive innovation, performance, and effective decision making across your organization.

Who Is Right for the Program
AMP brings together the top members of executive committees, heads of business units and functional areas, as well as leaders of government agencies and nonprofit organizations. As a graduate of the program, you can tap into an elite global network of accomplished executives for peer support and insight throughout your career.

A limited amount of partial scholarship funding may be available for qualified applicants from not-for-profit organizations. To be considered, you must complete and submit your application and include a request for funding. FOR MORE INFORMATION, please contact Ms. Kathryn Venne, Portfolio Director, at +1-617-495-6161.

I am very sensitive and allergic to marketing bullshit catchphrases such as this.

A scholar costs taxpayers $64 million to feed and support over his career. Assuming there are 200 scholars in our bureaucracy, that's $1.3 billion of our taxes going to support them.

Can someone justify how the scholars have generated value equal to $1.3 billion?

How about compared to scholars in other countries?

Your estimate only applies to the very top tier of scholars in Singapore. You haven't added the PSC and Admin service scholars; and 2nd/3rd tier scholars such as EDB, IDA, PUB, SPH etc scholars.... assuming they cost lowly $5-10million each per lifetime cost, and there are more than 1000 of them running around.....

Some of them are Presidents' (PRC) Scholar and PSC (PRC) Scholar hahaha.... like Li Jiawei get paid, laid and f off

A casual online search finds that other scholarships are not as generous. Obviously Apache energy not as power as PUB or IDA.

I mean like other countries' military scholarships--to West point, Sandhurst etc

Sinkapore has the highest paid ministers, the highest paid civil servants ...I can't think of any other country where scholars are guaranteed good-paying jobs like our civil service.

Actually, these scholars cost us even more ....they also sits on various boards of GLC ...that's more money going to them.

$1.3 billion is a very conservative number. Another poster mentioned that there are many other lower tier scholars that over their lifetime will chew up about $10 million each. The scholar system is chewing up lots of our tax dollars.

Yes, and a skinny smooth forearm of a teenage girl. Hardly the image of a General. More a ladyboy.

He should consider transplanting some from his groin onto his arms.

If they study in different countries, the exchange rate will change the amount they are paid. Or are they paid something else?

Exchange rate is irrelevant. They are paid their rank pay in SGD with CPF, even when they are overseas during their undergrad course. Their overseas expenses are covered under the scholarship award, which is a separate sum of money.

Kee Chiu with cock hair on his arms will look as sexy as this guy's mole. Defence is sexy to talk about, didn't he say

oh...so two levels of pay

Being treated like king after getting the scholarship, how could they ever empathize with the average sinkee? These $68-million men/women have it so good. Darn, I should have studied harder when young.

actually, I known some nice scholars. But given their good attitudes, they wont be selected as PS or Ministers or make it to BG.

I have yet to meet a decent scholar ...they often carry airs and portray themselves as the super-being. One of them, a MFA scholar, studied in France till doctorate level (yes, MFA paid for his 8 years of school in Paris and he didn't have to serve NS until he was done!), had to show off his french every so often that I declared him persona non grata.
