1 month pay about 3k for insurance/early payout/saving plan/endowment.
too much for a family of 2?
more is good? or too much?
or do own investment( property/share ) better yield?
1 month pay 3k must pay how many years and can get how much?
some are 10 years plan, some are life cum saving plan. some bought earlier. some bought recent years.
my partner in charge. so i am not so sure.
As long as you can pay through out and don't let these plans lapse. But I think endowment plans sum assured is low compared to life insurance, so not worth the long term commitment.
yes. thank you. but i am not sure, should i buy somemore? is it 3k per month a bit too much.
we can afford and pay through out now. however i may worry i lose my job or ability to work one day.
then with single salary, hard to afford it monthly
Whether 3k is too much depends on your income, coverage and your ability to pay. You have to assess whether the coverage is enough or too much based on your needs and consider the likelihood of losing your job.
I just read MAS estimated the insurance coverage (sum assured) one requires is about ten times of one's annual income.
"...the protection need of the average working adult, estimated at 10 times of annual income2 based on a 2012 Protection Gap Study3 commissioned by the Life Insurance Association, Singapore (LIA)."
