It's gonna be a matter of days before President Hosni Mubarak who has been a dictator of Egypt for the last 30 years gets toppled by popular uprising.

I know of a small nation who has been ruled by the same dictator for more than 5 decades and the general population only knows how to complain, but
have got no balls to follow the Tunisians and Egyptians.

Come to think, there are very few as most people have little respect for the the PAP.

11) Can include all the surviving Chief Justices and all-post Francis Seow AGs?

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak sacked his entire Cabinet today after violent protests saw at least 35 people killed and more than a thousand injured.

Protesters ignored an internet blackout and disruption of mobile phone services to stage mass demonstrations in Cairo, Suez and Alexandria.

Running battles were still taking place this morning despite a curfew and extra security forces and army personnel have been deployed to prevent looting.

Egypt ranks #103 in the 2010 IMF per capita income ranking. Singapore is #3.
Hence you won't see a revolution in Singapore.

20% of Singaporeans enjoy good living for their wealth. The other 80% are just ok, but the added pride of being citizens of a very wealthy nation help to keep their heads up. Like one forummer said, the Singaporean passport allows passage everywhere.

Egypt is one of the earliest civilisation, unfortunately the corrupt rulers shared wealth among privileged few leaving majority of the population impoverished.

Mubarak was hailed as a great leader for a long time by the American dominated international media. This is yet another example of how crappy and lacking in credibility the American media is.

CAIRO, EGYPT - JANUARY 29: An Egyptian man carries a child and a sign during a demonstration against President Hosni Mubarek in al-Tahir Square on January 29, 2011 in Cairo, Egypt. Tens of thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets across Egypt in Cairo, Suez, and Alexandria to call for the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak. Riot police and the Army have been sent into the streets to quell the protests, which so far have claimed at least 38 lives and left more than a two-thousand injured. The cabinet has formally resigned, but protesters are seeking a regime change with the resignation of Mubarak. Whilst the Army has deployed tanks and Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) to the streets there has been little implementation of them, and soldiers have interacted peacefully with passing marchers. The government has installed a curfew, blockaded access to the Giza pyramids with tanks and APC's and taken measures to secure museums from looters.
