a “well regulated militia” was the consitution’s intent but the result is a mixed bag of gangbangers and angry crazies on revenge and rampage.

With all those firearms wielded by civilians (including criminals) in the US, I am hardly surprised that their police officers are so trigger-happy. The US is still living in the days of the Wild Wild West.
