The issue with invading mudland is once the guerrilla warfare starts,,the SAF is doomed,,, IEDS etc will even be detonated in Singapore,,,the population will start to clamour PAP to end the war etc...also do not forget heaps of Mudlanders are in singapore working etc. Some mudlanders have even serve their NS..Singapore will be destroyed from within..

SAF doctrine is outdated ...conjured up by paper generals who treat the process like an academic exercise.

The missiles will come in drove and destroy a large chunk of sinkapore before the air attack commences ...where is MINDEF going to hide the aircraft when the missiles come rolling in?

When the first missile hits, the paper generals and the cabinet plus Tony Tan will run road using the submarines.

Deal with the missile barrage first ...if sinkapore can survive that few phases of attack, then there might be a battle. All the hardware we buy is for show only.
The most important hardware is the submarine - that's for the ministers and paper general to run away.

the Chinese People's Volunteer Army ( PVA ) were armed with American military equipments in the Korean war. the PVA using US weapons was a matter of great controversy in the US Congress. the US Senators and Representatives drilled the Generals on this issue. it turned out that the military equipments were the American ww2 lend-lease military supplies given to the Russians who gave it to the Chinese Communists and also some equipments were from the surrendered Chinese Nationalists Army at Changchun, Mukden and Beiping. President Truman and the US State of Department ordered General MacArthur to fight a limited scale war. this is why the heavy artillery, air and sea support are quite ineffective then. too long to elaborate further. this is another Chinese Communists myth that they always fought their enemies with no little or no arms and ammunition and won easily.

there is a common saying by the Chinese soldiers during the 2nd Sino-Japanese war - 人海战术总是不如火海战术。 advanced weapons always give one an advantage.

It may be a possible outcome. The issue is singapore is small, so must use unconventional methods to win the war, and that includes partnering with the enemy of your enemy, be it the sultans, south Thailand Muslims etc.

Why do you think the sinkie govt keeps such a close relationship with Johor sultan? In time of war, we may have to team up with Johor sultan to fight off the Malaysian military. There are Johor Malays who still want to return to the former glory days of the state of Johor, whatever that is. After all most of Malaysian sultans wants to be lumber one, and don't want to submit to federal govt.
