DPM Teo issues "dun anyhow judge CHC" statement - he's scared of mega churches?

DPM Teo Chee Hean should just stay low profile.
Every word he comment people dont like him.
From the HG byelection........................................

I think 'What do you think' can be the new catchphrase to use on unsuspecting targets.

Examples:

McDonald's cashier: Do you want to upsize?
You: What do you think?

Hawker stall owner: Do you want chilli?
You: What do you think?

Street ambusher: Hi, would you like to do a survey?
You: What do you think?

Friend: Can you lend me some money?
You: What do you think?

Waitress: Are you ready to make an order, sir?
You: What do you think?

Wife: Do you have a mistress?
You: What do you think?

The time has come, it's karma. Why is there a need for him to open his CB mouth on this matter? Is it necessary? Can't his subordinates do it? I think he's become a sadist love to be arsed.

I wonder if the CHC people will do a Reuben and get a free economics book?

Street ambusher: Hi, would you like to do a survey?
You: What do you think?

I actually did say that once when I was quite free.
It got a little ugly later. Move mouth only, never move hand.

Re: The Fear of the Tremendous Growth of MegaChurches!

so far they have come down on those who have misused funds....they dont appear to have any political agenda. Its just cracking down on dishonest people in priviliged positions who also have access to large amounts of donated money.

Agree. And in this CHC case, all the signs had been there for a long time now. It's just that the congregation had been too thoroughly brainwashed into believing otherwise. Even now they are still defending Kong Hee, Sun Ho and the rest of their cronies. You don't need to be intelligent to be able to tell if not for the monies going into the pockets of the promoters, radio stations, DJs etc, who the fark would want to listen to that horse-faced? Even the least of the lot in US is better than her a million times. Kong Hee and Sun Ho are fraudsters, simple as that and CAD had acted correctly in this instance, though they should have done so earlier.

People in CAD had to pray to their gods before they act....:p

Re: The Fear of the Tremendous Growth of MegaChurches!

CHC sheep are just a subset of the 60.1% sheep at large.
All brain washed. No hope liao.

Re: The Fear of the Tremendous Growth of MegaChurches!

33000 votes is about 1.5%... that's quite significant

Re: The Fear of the Tremendous Growth of MegaChurches!

Mega churches have been a phenomenon since the mid-late 1990s.

Around that time, even the not-so-mega evangelical Charismatic/Pentecostal modern churches are popping up everywhere.

Because it involves the oh-so-sensitive topic of religion, the govt has adopted a hands off approach, and in good faith trusted these institutions to self-regulate themselves. Didn't work out very well, did it?

Every church, cathedral, temple, mosque and synagogue should be audited thoroughly. I guarantee you will find more skeletons hiding in the closet.

The CHC congregation:

1) Does not consist of only Singaporeans.
2) Has a sizeable number in their youth ministries (underaged, not eligible to vote).

It's probably closer to half of your numbers.

Did not see any old people in their congregation. Looks like they practice ageism or feel that youngsters are easier to con of their money.

since mindless Christians are biggest group here............PAP scared they vote for opposition

Majority of SGP are Buddhists when do you think 60% will vote for oppositions?

Followers of money are not Christians. They are just money worshippers.

Real Jesus followers will sell their homes and donate to the poor.

No, real Jesus followers can drink poison and handle snakes, and still live.

Mark 16:15-18
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Go ahead and drink poison. And please don't tell me this part is an 'allegory' or 'metaphor' or 'parable', and thus not to be taken literally.
You dare defy the words of the Son of God?

2 Tim 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness

All Scripture, so you cannot pick-and-choose: the good, happy parts are to be taken literally, and the R-rated, cruel, horrible parts are metaphors.

Uncle does wonder why it is necessary for him to comment on this issue? Why the highlighting on the ST?
Is there more to it than meets the eye???
