why our police did not check the background of the gangster recruit???

Me and my buddies outwitted the police many times as teenagers from a gangster families. So much so amused that we went to apply to join the police force when NS enlistment notices came. 8 of us went to the police academy recruitment office to bullshit about law and order in the interviews, 3 of us (including me) got in. We laughed our heads out.

I am aware of 2 cases whereby both officers served until Police Hq discovered their criminal records! What a joke!

That's a real joke. How could that be? It's very easy to screen. That they let some of us without criminal record into the force, that's understandable. To let people with records in? That's a real joke, unless it was before early 80s when computer dababase for screening was introduced.

i have a friend who told me honestly, one of his fren who is a lady, her father is from the underworld.his father asked her to join police for some reason.
haha... police have undercover, the underworld also have undercover.

Not only is ram an outstanding ex police officer he's also a well known triad head respected and knows all the traid workings. Of course he has 0 criminal records and has 0 gang dealings and indulges in 0 vices despite being involved in a gang.


Very similar to our SAF officers whom become LTS then on to majors and colonels without having even fought in a war.

I also plan to become a manager then the boss of a company without ever having worked on the lower ranks.

The local press was also quick to publish the names of the killers. Rightly so.

But after all this time and more has been revealed about the case, the local press has not published the names of the killers' parents or got comments from them. Neither have they obtained a latest quote from the victim's father. What in the world are they doing? Reporting only what the police tells them?

One possible way to control and reduce such incidents and the problem of youngsters joining gangs, is to publish the names of the killers' parents.
Publishing the names of the killers could actually have an opposite impact. To such foolish and immature juveniles, instant fame may be exactly what they crave.

Agree with you. The 3 chaps arrested did not appear remorseful, from photographs taken and reports in the newspapers. To them, they have accomplished something they are proud of. Sad. I say, inflict pain on them.

Also.. pity the parents and family of these victims and the offenders. the offender's family must be worried about them now.

As for Darren's family, would they still say that he is a decent and nice guy ?? he also gang member, and they bring weapon to DTE, prepared to fight too... they could have hurt someone. But fortunately.. he got no chance to hurt anyone... because unfortunately.. he got killed.

I think the law must not only punished this youngster... the police must dig out who are the leaders in these gangster. They are the ones who brainwashed this youngster, and lead them to other crimes, such as loan sharks

To understand these chaps, you have to think the unthinkable. I suspect they are all very proud that they killed someone. Perhaps regretting why just 1 mati and not more!

There will be boasting as to who stabbed the deceased the most times. The ones that didn't stab would probably be mocked. Their friends on the outside will likely think the same way - same type of mentality.

I doubt if these chaps were brainwashed by anybody. Probably watched too many movies of violence. And yes, if there was a person who either brainwashed or led them, hit him hard too.

Imagine what would happen if the victim wasn't Darren. It could be an innocent chap or one of mistaken identity. It could well be one of our relatives or a friend's son.
