As foreigners working at Tanamera Crest condominium, the cleaning supervisor from Malaysia and the Indonesian maid had smiled at each other and spoken briefly.

On July 10, as Mr Rozaimi Zainal, 36, was at the ground level, he saw the maid standing on a ledge at the highest floor of the block.

"I shouted up at her, 'Don't jump! Don't jump!' Then she lay down on the ledge and rolled off," he said.

He stretched out his arms and her body landed on them but the impact sent him sprawling to the ground, shattering the bones in his left leg.

He was then pinned down by her lifeless body, unable to move until he was rescued.

Read the full report in The New Paper on July 19 (Friday).
