KL is more like 60-40 Cantonese vs Hakka. It just happens that the Hakkas are usually fluent in Cantonese but Cantonese are not typically fluent in Hakka, that's what ingesting pop culture from Hong Kong does.
If you go further north to the ulu parts of Selangor or Perak, it's a 50-50 ratio.
