I've seen it done before. It's actually quite easy except it takes a little more time to stew. Skin an defur the dog and chop chop the meaty parts first and boil it all, bones and ribs inclusive. Garlic is a must just like in pork rib soup. However, the the purpose here is not for soup but to prepare for stew. Discard the head. There's nothing delicious or even edible there. The stew braise can be prepared just like any braise according to one's liking, how much starch powder, how much soy sauce, how much MSG or whatever herbs you have etc. Then you sieve up the boiled dog meat and dice it. Then you stew it in the braise. You can use claypot, stonepot, teflonpot, whatever, adding a dash of the residual boiled soup for flavoring. When all's done, serve it with plain white rice and down it with beer. That's best and heavenly.
