Instead of looking to cut down on expenses, why don't you look towards increasing your income instead?

Exactly. It can be upto 80% if I put in endurance to hide in hdb hole other than going to work![]()

Are you alluding that the costs of living in Singapore is at least SGD$5K/month per person?
why don't you look towards increasing your income instead?
That's why you must aim to earn at least $10K per month so that you can save 50% of your income.
How to increase income?![]()
For us ordinary citizens, plan what ahead? Salary just right to live a less than simple life.
Give us back all OUR hard-earned CPF money at age 55 NOWWWW !!!
Damn it ! It is OUR blood and sweat money not yours to keep !!!:oIo:
One very good way to increase income is to work towards becoming skillful and knowledgeable in something that interests and excites you.
For example if you're interested in photography look for a genre that is in demand and hone your skills till you become very good at what you do. Your skills will then be in hot demand and income opportunities will come your way.

I agree 100%. Many folks did plan 10-20 years ahead, have great and grand plans to spend or grow their cpf money, and then the scums in white UNILATERALLY came up with devious schemes to withhold their hard-earned money against their will. :oIo: So, what's the point of planning so far ahead?
That's an excellent suggestion.
Looks like the poll's leaning (heavily) towards 4-D hopefuls.. at 80%![]()
