Serious Difference between sinkie and other countries correspondents.

i watched the latest series of NHK Tokyo Eye 2020 and to my horrific surprise that a sinkie host, Michelle Cheong, is being invited to be the correspondent of First World Japan show.

She did 2 series at the moment:

From the way she introduce and present her experience of different Japanese stuff a tourist would and the NHK host interview her face to face. I feel there is something missing in the way sinkie present themselves. But i have to prove my point by comparing it with other correspondent recruited by NHK. Are you able to tell me what is missing in the way sinkie present themselves and the way they talk?

Pls observe and compare them to that sinkie, Michelle Cheong. The way they present and talk and the communication between them and the NHK host.

Perhaps too involved in local slapstick that she is unable to withdraw herself from the "characters" she is so used playing.

Sinkies seem to have very limited vocabulary - "amazing", "gorgeous", "awesome", "oh my god" etc. She could have done better by offering details on the factors that contribute to a certain architecture being amazing or a particular food preparation being gorgeous. So far it's all one-liner without in depth analysis, and she was too eager to PLP anything Japanese by repeating her facial expression of being awed by the experience.

In short, she was acting, not so much presenting. She used emotional excitement to create a visual impact in front of the camera to mask her lack of knowledge of the subject she was presenting.

Do you feel a little disgrace and ashame that a sinkie display such 3rd world behavior compare to others?

She doesn't connect to others and focus on her self expression only. The correspondents from other countries are way better and natural in communicating with the audience and the host.

If u have notice the host, Chris, isn't too impressed by her and try to get the whole show going.

The expression of the host looks more comfortable when interacting with other correspondents. Love to use examples of Malaysian and Thai to compare to her.

Too much control by the PAP causes sinkies to become like that.

Yup.. A demure expression will be suited for such a show. I feel that she is out of place.

I do not feel comfortable watching the show by her.. It just does not feel right. Just stay away from sinkies.

I agree, she is very weird and her presentation skills were very plastic and her fake accent stank. For some scenes; I actually thought it was Barbarella presenting.
In all, it really defines Sinkies in the international arena among their peers. Good enough to act a bit but not palatable to the audience . Another comparison you may notice is May Wong; reporting events with her giam pa face. Can't Mediacork improve their stock I really wonder.

You know May Wong is relative of WKS? Also, our media copied the model of reporting of NHK and the Syonan times but selected their own inbred to the do the job. So expect the worst.
