Our population is now close to 5M for the 1st time (appox 1.8 PR+FT, 3.2 SG). That is, about 36% are foreigners now (PR+FT) vs 64% Singaporeans (including new ones). But I think the new Singaporean figures are negligible compared to foreigner numbers.

But why suddenly double the giving out of PRs last year to 50K+? Used to be 30K or so... this adds pressure to HDB resale prices...
