Debtor-turned-runner held
<!-- by line --> <!-- end by line --> A MAN was arrested on Monday evening for suspected involvement in loan-sharking activities. The 29-year-old was caught when patrolling officers from Clementi Police Division spotted him loitering suspiciously at an ATM machine on Clementi Avenue 3. The officers checked on him and found several ATM cards and bank transaction receipts on him. He was arrested. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect was a debtor and was believed to have assisted loan sharks by collecting debt repayments.
Investigations are still ongoing.
