Singapore Press Club marks 40 years with grand ball

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Press Club marked its 40th anniversary by celebrating in style with a Press Ball.
The last time the club had a ball was 10 years ago.
Founded in 1971, the Singapore Press Club is a networking organisation for those working in the media, public relations and media-related areas in Singapore.
Dressed to the nines, some 450 media guests attended the event held at Mandarin Orchard on Saturday evening.
They were treated to a "Fireside Chat" with former President, S R Nathan.
He discussed immigration issues in Singapore as well as his own take on social media.
The ball also highlighted the development of Singapore and the media over the past four decades.
