when it comes to defence and it is comforting to know that Singapore, while being small, is far from vulnerable.

Again you showed your ignorance. What you just spouted is not true but PAP's propaganda. PAP boasts that while being small, we are far from vulnerable!

But most Singaporeans know that, as usual, it is an empty PAP boast.

Singapore's lack of strategic depth and unsustainability will kill SG.

Use your brain!!!

Singapore may not have a hinterland but it has a clearly defined plan when it comes to defense in depth.

Why would Singapore acquire Himars with a range of 70km if it was going to wait for the enemy to arrive on its doorstep?

Why would the RSN acquire Archer class submarines if they didn't intend to keep sea lanes open 1000 km offshore?

Why would the Air Force order 4 G550s equipped with stealth AESA radar with a range which extends over 75% of Malaysia?

You obviously know jack shit about the capabilities and the doctrine of the SAF. If Singapore does fall, it certainly won't be because of the lack of hardware. It will be because of the existence of Singaporeans with your defeatist attitude towards life. You've pretty much raised the white flag without the first shot being fired. You're pathetic.

That's again PAP propaganda and you are not stating anything original. Go to any Jane's Journal and you get all the facts abt hardware.

The problem is heartware and sustainability. No need to discuss in depth such matters. Those who know know. Those who dont know, like you, remain in the dark and fed with shit like a mushroom. Go think abt it...

It's always better to negotiate from a position of strength. The PAP has shown great foresight when it comes to defence and it is comforting to know that Singapore, while being small, is far from vulnerable.

When it's dependence on Malaysian water is overcome, it will be able strengthen its position even further.

You may not mind your wife and daughters being raped and killed by marauding soldiers from the North or South.

Do you mind your wife and daughters being raped and killed by Ozzies? If so, why are you not urging the NZ govt to increase military spending? Why ain't the other NZlanders doing it? Don't they mind their female family members to be screwed? Because they know better it serves no one any good to invade another's territory. Only paranoiac Singapore leaders believe so. And do you know the reason? They often bad-mouth our neighbours.

You are right to point out that our independence on water and food is what will safeguard our survival. So spend more resources on that instead of weapons. And keep the big gap shut even though belittling your neighbours can score you political points with the electorate. You are endangering the survival of the country.

The heartware is people like you. You are the weakest link. If the majority of Singaporeans are like you, your prediction is self fulfilling. No amount of hardware can make up for the lack of fighting spirit.

Now you acknowledge that hardware cant compensate for the lack of heartware. It's not the soldiers nor the airmen nor the sailors who are the heartware problem. It's the leaders and their bad policies. Can the pap do what it is doing to SG and Singaporeans and expect our airmen, soldier, sailors to fight and die for SG.

That's what Singaporeans are telling the pap...loyalty begets loyalty. Care for all Singaporeans now and we will die for SG. We remain united as one people. The pap cant neglect the poor , the sick, the aged, the disadvantaged and treat SG as an Incorporation rather than a country now. The pap neglects Singaporeans today and expect us to defend and die for SG in war?

Use your brain and think! Bad leaders, not the people, lose the war.

Do you have any more pap propaganda you wish to vomit out?

But I rather you use your brain and speak with some originality instead of just regurgitating what we have heard from the pap and MSM...

You are so boring, like an old broken pap record!

We come here to share gems , not to hear lies!

A divided country like SG now, when at least half the people hates the pap leaders, will fall like ten pins. No need for the enemy to fight us.

Do you see the gist of what the pap has done to Singapore?

A classic case of failing to make a distinction between a political party and a country. Whatever grievances you may have with the PAP, it does not alter the fact that when you fight for the country, you aren't fighting for LHL. You're fighting to protect your property and your loved ones.

If you succeed in defending the country, your material possessions remain yours and your loved ones ie your parents, your children, your relatives will avoid becoming victims of the horrors of warfare.

If you surrender, be prepared to lose everything.

LHL and the Lee family clan don't have to worry about the outcome as much as you do. They already have contingency plans. Life for them will carry on in some other land where they will live out a luxurious existence till the end of their days.

Before we talk abt fighting for the country, we must go back to basics...do you think what LHL is doing is good for Singapore? Is he building unity? Is he caring for the citizens? Are Singaporeans feeling that SG is worth fighting for?

The answer to all those questions is a resounding YES!

Policies may be painful and unpopular. Some may cause temporary resentment and fuel thoughts of rebellion. However, in the long term, Singaporeans will come to realise the wisdom of his ways.

Ask yourself why all the new citizens and PRs appreciate the PAP far more than born and bred sinkies. The answer lies in the fact that they have a basis for comparison. Having grown up in countries where they have seen real corruption, extreme incompetence, wide spread poverty and decaying infrastructure with no hope in hell of any improvement, they realise what a fantastic job the PAP has done in less than a generation.

Singaporeans, on the other hand, just take everything for granted.

All the hardware is in place for defense in depth. However, it requires committed personel who are willing to defend their country to execute a doctrine. You're obviously not one of those who can be counted upon to step up when the crunch time arrives.

Of Course Lah !

Tracy Tan is visionary, "Crumbling of Singapore" indeed..Her words were used.

"Singapore’s public transport system appears to be crumbling apart as another disruption in service hit the North-East line, barely hours after trains were delayed along the East-West line this morning due to a combination of unforeseen factors such as ‘congestion ahead’, ‘bad weather condition’ and ‘train fault’.

Commuters receive a notification from SBS Transit at around 1.52pm this morning via SMS informing them of the train delay:

“NEL train service in direction of Punggol, from Little India (NE7) to Woodleigh (NE11) stations is currently delayed due to a signalling fault.”

Do you think they (or was it Lee) care about your poor man's transportation ? I have said this on my last post here that they can't even be bothered about the poor. So what happened then. Saw built stores to replace toilets, right ? Someone posted this as a reply sometime ago. Do you think she cared your bladder or your travelling experiences ? She could hardly heck care lah !

Now, they even had the cheek to ask for coffer's money to repair the tracks. So, are you losing or are you gaining from all these failures and fiascos ?

For this kind of postings, I'm becoming popular with many thumbs up (equivalent to likes) at Yahoo ! I'm beginning to become popular there with friendly replies coming in.

Re: Of Course Lah !

"An ex-Singaporean Wing Lee Cheong who migrated to Canada in the 1960s as a young man was shocked at the number of PRC nationals in Singapore upon visiting Singapore last month.

Mr Wing has worked in China for more than ten years and knows many intelligent and polite PRC Chinese.

In a posting on Facebook, he expressed his astonishment at the ‘quality’ of the PRC nationals in Singapore:

“When I visited Singapore last month, I was shocked by the amount of PRC FTs in the city. They seem to be everywhere, shouting, pushing and all the bad habits from China. I have lived and worked in China for more than 10 years and I know lots of very intelligent, polite and well mannered Chinese. Somehow, these Chinese FTs are from the bottom of the barrel that the Chinese government does not want.”

I do not want to go personal on this one. What I do is not as important as what the rest of Singapore will do. What will the rest of Singapore do?

There is one very important example in history - Taiwan. For centuries, the Qing emperors took the Taiwanese for granted, neglected Taiwan and did not make any effort to develop the territory. Eventually under pressure from the Japanese, Taiwan was ceded to the Japanese.

Although mainland forces stationed there fought bravely against the Japanese against imperial order, eventually the local population, frustrated by long term neglect by the Chinese Emperors, opened the gates to the cities and let the Japanese in.

Even today, a large portion of the Taiwanese population think well of the Japanese even though they were the aggressors. This illustrates what can happen to a country when its leaders neglect its people.
