The juvenile croc that was spotted at Changi few years back was from the Pasir Ris Park mangroves. Regular anglers, joggers, leisure walkers of Pasir Ris park would know about that croc as it was a familiar sight there. One Biggie measuring 3 m was nonchalantly swimming past a group of beach goers some 23 years back. That time no phone cameras yet and all of them that were swimming quickly swam ashore. Think it was a Malay family then. Then late 2000s one angler accidentally caught a baby that was hooked onto his line. It was reported in the news then. And of course that juvenile that swam from Pasir Ris to Changi few years ago. Seems like Pasir Ris is the breeding ground of this predators. Old folks used to say if you see the baby then confirm it's Lau Bu or Lau Peh around the area too.
