I can create as many email addresses as I please and configure them in any manner that I want all from my cPanel on my server.

if wan dot com at the end must pay mre money to jews leh. that will make dog god angry leh!!! har-har. and sinkie ISP all charge extra money for customised email, not worth it unless u choose cheapest plan , then re-direct all mail from the custom one to gmail. so you still end up using half-free email to save cost.
