dont be too sure. my reservist PS was a Ops Sgt during NSF. dunno shit about being a Sgt in line company let alone know how to be a PS. blur blur all the way during reservist, but is a nice guy, chao keng like the rest of us but wont arrow us.

It is about time for Singaporeans to really understand why spend our lives and money in army. It is to fight for survival, not about invading other people's land, not about an eye for an eye.
Since the President of Indonesia has backed down and the attitude of his government has changed, so be it. But that silly minister is basically putting up an aggressor attitude. Behind this attitude, is the unwillingness to cooperate and help to put out the fire, for whatever reasons. The only way to deal with such silly minister is to play hardball.
We should never let people think that war is a non-option in such scenarios of vital survival... either deprivation of Air, Water or whatever ingredients necessary for our survival. Else, you will only fall into the politics of wimp and deserve that kinds of mocking that the silly Indonesia minister has put up... insulting everyone childish.
In this particular case, there is no necessity for land invasion at all. Just take control and secure the airspace, start putting water bombs to put out the fire.

i can easily find a few flaws that will prevent saf from doing what u want. a secure airspace dont give u a free hand to, in your term, to drop water bombs. to drop water, the C130 must fly low, so all indon need are just mount a battery of quad-50 browning on M113, simple low tech weapon system, at affected region to shoot down the C130. then what about retrofitting C130 with water tank, it not as simple to mounting a huge tank inside the C130, u took had to take account how the swoshing of the water while in flight will affect the handling of the C130. then there the problem of where C130 get the water? singapore to load water then fly across the straits just to drop water over an area of maybe 500mX500m? the C130 will produce more green house gases than it put out.
i only list 3 problems, and there many many more problems that need to address. so dont be an idiot who "cui gong lumpar song".

MTO means even worse quality occifer than S4. Normally those appointed to S4 are the really CMI occifers in terms of leadership, physical and mental fitness and suitability for combat roles. Amongst these lot, the even more CMI ones become MTOs.

Going to war would be a bit of an over reaction. Since we are thinking out of the box, here's my suggestion of how the PAP can do something powerful and practical to tackle the haze.
Assuming individuals responsible for the haze have been identified, we should select 1 or 2 who are based in Singapore to be prosecuted under the PCA. In the process of the trail, Singapore can show the world the web of corruption that is leading to the haze problem. We can selectively name names of a few powerful political warlords who are on the take. As a start, let's go with the groups working with Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono and Governor of Riau Rusli Zainal.
