it says the higher of up to $5000 or their remaining savings,cant u guys read?

if ur bank has less than $5000 will it let u withdraw more?tell me which bank i go sign up now.

But the bank will not unilaterally issue a directive that the date of repayment will be delayed either.

It is my hard earned money I do what I pleases with what I had saved ,whether I donate it all, f$#$&% it all, gamble it all....I have already one life time, supported an expansive government that "gambled" most it all....

It is my hard earned, blood, sweat & tears money I am entitled to do what I pleases with it & should not be dictated by people on how I spend it...

You make sound like, my money is given to those who keeps it & do not want to give it to me...might as well close down CPF, in this case...CLOSE IT DOWN..& return EVERY CENT OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY...

The CPF is not your money. It is a highly insidious form of indirect taxation. Also serves as an escrow account for property purchase and medical needs so that the G does not have to take care of its citizens. The G calls this "self reliance". I call this "damn fucking good reason to vote you fuckers out".

I never asked for CPF.....I have no choice, neither any of us born & worked here....from the day I started working, I have relatives & colleagues who retired at that time 55 years of age, & when they retire, they withdrew all their CPF savings in one lump sum. Many of them are still alive today & with the CPF savings they lived a full & AFFORDABLE life. Over the years THEY changed the CPF withdrawal rulings so many times, each time moving the bar far away from the savers & coming up with all sorts of excuses not to give us any our OUR money & even you get...$5,000.... they should pay the ministers this sum, at the end of their term....including that Lim Sway Sway....

My point is still....CPF is mine...what I do with to when I retire....what is there for people holding my savings to dictate how, when & what to give me.....WE CANNOT TRUST ANYONE WITH OUR MONEY...& any government with a moral conscience must never hold their people's money nor preach how they use them...

I am looking forward to the day, we can change that government & liberate our savings...
