Indon cases are pretty low in comparison to other EU countries that are experiencing a surge... and this is despite the fact that European countries are way ahead when it comes to vaccination rates.

We can attribute those higher rates in the European countries to higher testing rates of over 1million tests per 1million individuals. Indonesia on the other hand is running test rates of over 80K tests per 1million individuals.

Unless testing regimes are standardised across the world that is impossible. However what can be compared are trends and the graphs tell me that no matter what the virus is going to spread till natural immunity is achieved. Once this happens subsequent variants will be like existing corona viruses ie they'll cause headache, sore throat, cough for a few days and then get better.
No vaccine will ever be as good as natural immunity gained from successfully fighting a viral infection. Nature's way is always the best.
