A former Singapore Airlines flight attendant is in the news after it was revealed she's running a stall at Jurong Fishery Port.
Several local media outlets have detailed the interesting career path taken by Amber Tanwho initially co-founded Pao Ge Seafood in 2023.
According to reports, she left SIA and started modelling before meeting a man who would become her boyfriend in 2019. The couple started their seafood business four years later with Amber said to have invested her life savings of $170,000 into Pao Ge.
However, the business as well as their relationship had deteriorated significantly by 2025. Amber and her boyfriend went their separate ways, leaving the ex-SIA stewardess to take charge of running Pao Ge by herself.
The 35-year-old, who spoke to AsiaOne about the financial difficulties she was left in, has been using tools such as livestreams and online videos to keep the business moving in a positive new direction.
