3 words to you. Chief Medical Officer. We don't have one. Everyone other country has one. In the US, its the Surgeon General. In other countries like Canada, every province has a Chief Medical or Chief Health Care officer, in addition to the Federal level. Same for UK, Australia, etc. In the US, even each state has its equivalent of chief medical officer. Singapore does not. All the shit coming out of the PAP mouth is from politicians and from bureaucrats like Gan Kim Yong, who is an electrical engineer by training.

When I watch the news and youtube, you see many Chief Medical Officers next to politicians at the news conference, and in many cases, the politicians turn the podium over to the CMO to answer questions and clarify policies. We don't have this. The CMO in these countries are all experience doctors or members of the medical field. even though they are appointed by the govt of the day, the govts do take their advice and consult with them. They become very public figures and by now, the citizens of most of these countries know who their CMOs are. Govts who do not take their advice run the risks of public backlash. In Singapore, you cannot find one. I mean the SAF and SCDF and other govt agencies have their own CMO. But who is the national CMO of singapore? The closest we have is the MOH Director of Medical Services Kenneth Mak. Other then one time that he spoke over one month ago, you have not heard anything from this idiot.

If he is the senior medical officer in singapore, he has to be up there in public every day to tell us how to handle this covid 19. Not hide away and let moronic politicians take the stage. The only reason I can think that he is a no show is that his boss Gan has told him to go into hiding. That is not responsible. The whole strategy of the PAP's Covid 19 fight is political and not medical. Everything the PAP has done has to appease other foreign countries and not take care of its own citizens. eg. Not banning china flights earlier and letting Wuhan escapees in. Not screening or quarantining them when they come in. Making free accommodations for 300,000 unscreened and unquarantined Malaysian workers. Not shutting down the Indian dorms and even Mustafa. etc.

In other words, there is no Covid 19 guidance based on sound medical advise from experienced medical professionals. The fact that this Kenneth Mak bastard is so silent in the face of so many PAP wrong moves and contradiction tells me this fucker is a political appointment and is as useless as tits on a bull. When the PAP make people line up to get 4 lousy masks and then line up again for one lousy mask, where was he on social distancing? When PAP give a 4 day warning on a lockdown instead of 24 hrs, hence allowing people to congregate for one last burst of fire, where was he? You get the drift.

70% kong cheebyes think this is ok.

Circuit breaker is not DORSCON Red and not a lockdown....just like a having a PM & the CEO of SG largest GLC sharing the same toilet every day is not conflict of interest.

I remember this guy. He scolded some sinkie doctors who advised people to wear mask.

Wearing a mask is not the most important thing to do to keep the coronavirus at bay, said Associate Professor Kenneth Mak, the director of medical services.
He was responding to questions on the advice circulated by four doctors that everyone should wear a mask when leaving home, regularly wash hands and reduce unnecessary mingling with others - challenging official advice which is to wear masks only if sick.
The doctors argued: "If one faces a person and both parties are masked, it is considerably safer, constituting a two-barrier protection."

Prof Mak noted there has been a lot of well-intentioned advice on social media, including from doctors. He said while some advice is very relevant, such as reminders to wash one's hands, people must remember the virus is spread via droplets with no evidence that it is airborne.
"Be aware of things you commonly touch. The thing most commonly touched is your phone, so wearing a mask is not the most important thing," he added.
Government leaders have said that only those who are unwell need to wear a mask, while those who are well need not do so. As the virus is spread by droplets, keeping hands clean, and away from the face, are more important ways to avoid catching the bug.

One of the four doctors, Dr Colleen Thomas, an internal medicine specialist in private practice, told The Straits Times they felt obliged to send out the warning as "the burden of not doing so is too great to bear".

Their letter shared on chat groups said: "The infected are not always traceable and containable within hospital isolation rooms. As this virus is said to be milder, infected people with no symptoms could transmit the virus to others silently."
Dr Thomas said: "As a doctor, how can I not speak out when I know that there is danger to people?"

He's absolutely right regarding masks. Kudos to him for speaking the truth.

Kenneth mak is general surgeon by training.

Now he is just a silent dummy
Seriously sinkies dont give doctors any respect.

Ask yourself. You dont either.

Sinkie doctors know this. The smart ones. So they just say what they are told to say. And will tell the big shots what they want to hear. Otherwise they will be seriously fucked.

There are so many ways to fuck doctors in sinkieland. The SMC for example is nothing but a body to prosecute doctors.

Has anyone heard SMC or SMA talk about helping doctors in Singapore? PPE procurement? Business viability during covid19?

Nothing.
