Covid-19 shit is getting boring - I've had enough

The virus is not deadly in most cases.

It is inconsistent. It is the luck of the draw.

The problem is the doctors who called for lockdown and ordered it ie al these chief medical officers will not eat humble pie and say they were wrong. They will cite cases to support their opinions.

Media will report cases of young people who die. Very rare.

This shows how stupid the medical system is. Full of bias and personal opinions.
stanford medical which has brand new hospitals just built in sillycon valley a year ago to compete with kaiser permanente which also doubled down with brand new hospitals all over the valley had to cut pay by 20% across all staff a month ago as it’s going bust. and recently it laid off a sizable number of staff and nurses to stay in the black. kaiser just canceled all their plans for new hospitals and clinics. like kaiser, stanford doesn’t admit ccp virus cases. and both hospital chains are suffering. only city, county and state funded hospitals ward virus cases, and they are suffering too as the low number of ccp virus cases per hospital doesn’t justify their existence if they don’t continue to receive federal, state, and county funding. practically, other patients at valley medical branches have stayed home and receiving telemedicine services from non er and icu docs who also stay home. they’re gutting the entire healthcare system based on unfounded fear.

This is perfect evidence that the Chief Medical Officers and public health sexpervs have got it wrong.

As I have said before they should make these HUGE world changing decisions with a panel of doctors across all disciplines and not just a handful of public health drs.

yes for speed you can order certain things first. But then sit down with other doctors and discuss. All drs would have received training in virology, public health, infectious disease. And can read and understand articles and interpret data from journals. So to say that other doctors opinions are not valid is ridiculous.

From a personal viewpoint I'd be very happy if not a single tourist set foot in NZ for the next 2 years or even longer. Unfortunately so many businesses depend upon tourism that not many would share my enthusiasm for a bit of peace and quiet.

My first trip to Queenstown was in 2004. I loved it to death.

My last trip was in 2014 and I swore I would never set foot in that awful place ever again. It was overrun by the most obnoxious tourists on earth. The ambience was absolutely ruined. Even the tourist outlets had sold their souls in exchange for the tourist dollar.

They'll now have to depend on people like me again. I'll be making a trip there in a couple of months for a winter escapade.

The thing with these popular scenic tourist spots is that it is on everybody’s to see list. If you reach the car park at peak hours (generally 11 am to 5 pm in summer), the first thing to do is to find a parking lot! Every damn driver seems to reversing his car close to you when you are reversing yours! Then, you hike to the famed scenic spot, only to find that there are tons of other people already there and yakking here and there - loudly. The worst are Asians - PRCs, Indians and damn PeeNoises. Impossible to get a clean panoramic shot or video without some idiot sticking his head, hip or bump into your precious peekture.

However, if you arrive after 7.30 pm, the parking lot should be empty. You can sleep in the back of the SUV with the seats flat down and an inflatable mattress from Amazon. Next morning, wake up at 5 am and start your hike. You are guaranteed solitude. Did exactly as described with Ben Lomond (Tasmania), Cape Tourville, etc. For Whistler in BC, while heading for a public campsite, the GPS led me to an almost completed luxury housing estate instead! All the construction workers already gone home and there was not a single resident in the half completed estate. Had the entire hundreds of acres of luxury housing estate all to myself. Slept like a baby and the stars in the night sky was fantastic, no urban light sources for miles in the vicinity to spoil the view. Lucky the bears did not come and disturb me.

Have you hiked this trail in Queenstown?
