Cooling Day boomerangs back to PAP

The legislation was concocted with the objective of having the PAP candidates being shown smiling, spending a day with their families etc appearing on the front pages of the MSM. The introduction of the new rule featuring candidates' photographs was to provide additional familiar pics of the MIWs so that the old folks would vote for familiar faces. (PAP concept of brand familiarity). After 50 years, with a much younger generation and the older generations who have been through multiple erections, they introduce this rule? It's all insidious.

But with social media raging, this perceived advantage is no more. The old rules don't apply.

Cooling day is for citizens to launch a final assault.

Won't be surprised if the pappies try some shenanigans (loitering?) on Polling Day, and the Election Department declares that they aren't doing anything illegal.
