Besides cricket, hockey and shooting, Indians are not into or up there with any other sports anyway.

The reason why India with a billion population is weak in sports is because those who represent the country in international sporting events are the cousins and nephews of some senior sports officials while the best stay at home.

There is also a labour shortage and coupled with the fact that there no tertiary institutions to push out qualified professionals such as engineers. The world should applaud the Indians for managing to build a footbridge. Its collapse due to a single loose pin is understandable. Prior to this no one has built a bridge. Note the Indian govt's resolve in helping Somali piracy. Its immaterial that on their first foray they mistook a Thai fishing vessel as a pirate's mothership and blew it to smittereens. The fact that they are prepared to open fire speaks volumes of a determined people. Errors are just part of the equation.

These are just some outstanding examples of the Indian achievement on a world stage. Please add more.

My company Ah Neh from dunno where also crashed PC and dissappeared without officially tendering his resignation. He is nowhere to be found and last told that he left Singapore for good. My boss now lan lan and forced the existing sinkies to quickly resolve the issues.

Cricket, hockey and shooting are elite sports in India. Only a very minor minority could afford these. That's the reason. India has never cared about popular sports for the masses.
