Choo Choo says he will be an independent voice which has been debunked by brudders here!.

Now he says there are already 5 opp in parliament so no need for another oppo!

Don't worry, seeing is believing. Hougang residents will watch closely the fate of Potong Pasir in the next election to see whether Demon is a liar. If Potong Pasir is dissolved into another GRC, all the more Hougang residents must defend itself.

It is PAP collective traits and agreements - win at all cost even if you have to talk rubbish to fool the people. This is a default protocol coming from the top, thus Choo don't give a damn what other people think. If he wins, he will be forgiven by his master for lying, if he lose whatever he said will be swept under the carpet. We are so used to PAP promising one thing and acting another, they will never ran out of excuses to justify their means. Look at Rochor residents, after the election. They were forced to leave their familiar territory, no question asked because decision is already casted in stone from the top. Rochor residents were betrayed after voted for PAP.

Desmond is indeed a nice chap and he does come across as trying (very hard) to serve HG residents. My only issue is that he will never be as independent as he claimed he is. He would not be independent even if he's WP MP because you've to be loyal to your party when it comes to the crunch.

But for you to compare forummers to Desmond is quite silly. He's a politician assigned to HG and earmarked for higher office (according to Scroobal I think). Of course he serves HG people. "You people" are just ordinary folks, most of them are probably not even in politics! By saying "you people" did nothing for them is really silly.

That's quite lame.

It is really quite simple.

Those who want some "freebies" (at least perceived freebies) will vote for PAP on the common logic PAP control the purse strings.
Those who want to see alternative voice against these burning issues such as FTs creating chaos in the country will vote for WP. Obviously 5 out of 87 seats is a very small voice.

PAP is obviously keen to disrupt opposition growth so that they can continue to bring in more FTs to improve the national statistics which their bonuses are dependant upon.
