I remember when I 1st returned to Spore & I tried to get access to the internet to keep in touch with my overseas friends. Went to Sim Lim & asked people there how to get internet access & no one new what I was talking about I found out that even at NUS computer science students were often not given access to an account. Fortunately I got a job with an american MNC & thriugh them got access to the internet.

When Pacnet 1st started offering internet access, the application form was like applying for a job A lot of rules & regulations on what you couldn't do.

Even today Spore users have to go through a proxy server.
