The Mainstream Media (MSM) tried to promote this ESM FT declaration. It featured reports on the viewpoints of employing organizations. It also emphasized the immigration origin of all Singaporeans & indirectly described the ESM FT policy critics as xenophobes.

The policy critics were not against immigration. They were only questioning the numbers & the selection criteria. The MSM method exposed the weakness of the FT policy. Almost all the featured employers wrote & talked about problems of hiring FWs, not FTs.

The few instances of needing FTs were mainly restricted to CEOs & scientists. As a result, the MSM started to lose credibility among readers.

very tough to look at this issue without bias, bread and butter issue will tug at the very heartstrings of every mortal man :o:o:o

What about before 14 years immigration policy to increase certain race population? Why nobody is talking about it? Felt good and happy those days?

Since it is a real mess, questions should be put forward to the PAP on why was such a policy implemented? Why were the controls lacking? Who screwed up on this? The one who mess up must be made answerable. If the blame is on GCT than the Oppos will have a chance to win Marine Parade in the next election.
