Singapore - Mega-church City Harvest held its first service at its new home with more than 7,500 worshippers in the sprawling Suntec Convention Centre yesterday.
It saw them cheering and clapping throughout the nearly three-hour service at Halls 601 and 602, reported The Straits Times.
It began with the congregation wearing 3-D glasses to view an introductory video before Pastor Kong's wife, pop singer Ho Yeow Sun, led them in the singing of vibrant songs of rejoice.
They also wore light rings in the high-energy service that also featured drum and dance performances.
The church previously held its services at the Singapore Expo. City Harvest became a co-owner of Suntec Singapore after making an investment of $310 million in March last year.
