When I travel, I tend to make my way to Chinatowns that are out there. One of the biggest chinatowns I am told at the turn of the century was in Liverpool as it was one of the biggest port then. I visited it recently and except for the red gates and a few shops, all recently renovated, nothing exist.
There is actually a smaller chinatown in Mumbai. Interestingly more Chinatowns are being established in Africa with many Chinese from mainland setting up businesses there and Chinese Govt buying up mines there.

I grew up in Peesai where no one race bullies another so I don't know, but I had a friend from Hong Kong who told me that Indians who were born and grew up in Hong Kong were denied Hong Kong passports at the time of the island's handover to PRC. Don't know what happened to them, I didn't follow up their story. Indians in Hong Kong were called Ah Char (don't know what that means, but I guess it is derogatory) and that term is still used by Hong Kongers in Canada to describe Indians and other South Asians. My friend travels internationally with a Canadian passport but when in Asia, uses his Hong Kong passport for more convenient passage, especially into China.
