Geylang don't really have many stores selling chicken. Most of them are Northern Chinese Crusines and Chongqing steamboat.

If you want to know the price of chicken, then I guess Seng Xiong is selling at SGD4-6 each ( uncooked). Normal chicken rice store would be SGD8-12 per chicken, fully chopped up for you and includes chicken rice on the menu.

No-lah! I have been around that area a few times and observed that Sinkee women do walk there. In fact many singapore working girls go there for lunch and dinner due to the veriaty of food. The car parks are jammed pack most of the time because of diners. They were not approached by any men asking for service at all. Heh! If you are a man and you step foot there, very soon you will be approached by the ladies there asking if you want to have a chit chat.

Geylang is a piece of untouched / unpolished gem in Singapore.

It's full of activity, full of life, full of vitality. This is one of the very few places where you still can feel the pulse of what a bustling city should have.

If the URA were to come in to mess it up like the way they did to Ngau Chei Shui (Kreta Ayer), Bugis Street... I think you might as well close down the Tourist Board.

I agree with you on that, whenever there are business colleagues or friend from oversea visiting Singapore, I sure bring them there. There are more to see at Geylang than any other places in Singapore (of course excluding the Zoo, the number of animals exceeded the girls in Geylang).

Most Chinese cities more or less have the same attraction but the approaches of different govt make it turn out another kinds.

In Sg, the place become cleaner and more orderly. But somehow in the process the "sexcitement" is lesser felt.

When my friends visit Spore, the visits are short because the hotels are expensive & not much to see. Never thought about Geylang as a tourist attraction Has anyone told the tourist board about the attractions in Geylang
