Re: China Pandas , Kai Kai & Jia Jia , Enroute to Singapore , 6 Sept 12 , 8.
LOL.. HutPan.. Good one..

Massive outcry by PRC Govt if the incident really happened..
That was funny,. Very funny indeed...
However, this is not a laughing matter.
The presence of the Comrade Jia Jia and Comrade Kai Kai here as PRC Ambassadors, on a 'temporary" basis and as "Guests" of Singapore can create serious political repercussions between the two countries who have "for decades enjoyed friendship".
Should the two "high-ranking four-legged beasts" suffer any anatomical violation at the hands of other animals from the nearby Zoo, or even being devoured by the animals, we have lots of explaining to do to Big Brother China...Think about it...
Isn't China now laying claims on so many islands that lies within the South China Sea. Hasn't these become a headache and created so much tension between China and certain members of ASEAN.
Let me bring your memory back to the days of the East India Company and VOC (Dutch East Indies Company) that managed to "set-up" trading posts in India and Indonesia.
The cunning and scheming British entered Malaya as traders in search of raw materials like rubber, tin and spices to feed their industries after the Industrial Revolution..
They then slowly created the Post of Residents in Malaya to advise and protect the Sultans. Those who kow-towed to them became puppet. Those that did not heed them (British) became targets. These is exactly what happened to the State of Perak, which at that time was a prosperous tin-mining area. The Ghee Hin and Hai San secret-societies were fighting for control of the lucrative mines of Larut and other areas.
During this time, JWW BIRCH, the Resident of Perak was killed by the Maharajalela.
The British used this as an excuse and invaded Perak and thereby took over the lucrative tin-mining business.
Back to our pandas, If, for any reason, they die in Singapore or are drowned in the nearby reservoir, HELL may break loose between China and tiny red dot.
China may use this as an excuse to take over Singapore.
Jia Jia and Kai Kai are PRC Citizens, aren't they?
Surely China has a right to Intervene for the sake of her citizens abroad...
Mandai Lake Road will be renamed Jia Jia Road and Mandai Zoo into Kai Kai Zoo.
FYI, the British named Jalan Birch has been changed by Mahathir to Jalan Maharajalela..
