You really need to mix more with Russians and speak their language, like I do. Russia is very much a "communist" ideological country, with wide support for the communist party, though Russia is a pseudo-presidential type of government, but in strict practical sense, if a country is sterotyped communist, we should never find so many CIVILIAN billionaires, as everything belongs to the state.

In a communist regime, everything belongs to the state and everyone is equal and no one is left behind, so money is supposed to be distributed equally amongst its citizens.

Nevertheless, they have improved the standard of living, however, much to the dismay of their earlier revolutionary visionaries by creating greater class divisions within their citizens.

Because in the course of her history, only two parties came into dominance. There was a communist party too, but I think they weren't popular in a country where for most of her recent history, they put their trust in God, which is printed on their Greenback. There are no laws to stop anyone from forming another party. By all counts, USA is a democratic country. Mode of operation is Capitalistic. There is also freedom of the media, the right to choose/or not a religion, choice of sexual orientation, and another which makes it more democratic than others - the right to bear arms.

Most western countries have a communist party except for Singapore. Just because communist parties are outlaw in Singapore doesn't mean it the enemy is communist party. Just because a single party is a communist, doesnt mean a democary country is not a single party.

So, how can China and Russia be considered communist??

That is what people who never studied or read history thinks. They are more interested in tabloid or internet news. China is a socialist country that already said it will create its own idealogy path and have since moved away from Karl Marx (He German and today there is a communist party in German. But they have other communist terms like leftist/rightist socialism parties too).

The war on communist was inspired by ex-President Trumen who hates the communist. He suddenly destroyed all alliances after the rightful president died and he setup the CIA which is headed by his brother to fuel his hatred.

That aside, past 400 years, the western world greatly fear Russia and China, who are considered virtually untouchables due to their sheer population and size. They fear that Russia and China will one day wage a war against them. That is why, from the Uk, France, Germany, their war policies are an extension to weaken, blockage and restrict Russia and China.

It doesn't really matter which idealogy Russia and China is following. If they are capitalist, they will still be written as enemies of the world for every small provocations due to their sheer population, resources and size. But you know, the power of media? It allows the US to wage continuous wars and invasions without backlash.

China isn't a communist country now even though the Political Party name got struck. Russia isn't too. Singapore isn't a democracy country too. It is a authoritian country; that is why election laws can be changed without consulting the election parties.

when Soviet Union collapsed..............how did all the young Jews in their late 20's or early 30's get the money to buy over all the state oil and gas companies ?
