Russia is no longer a communist country.
China is still a communist country. Red flag, People's Republic of China, one party system etc.
Putting capitalist lipstick on a communist pig won't change anything. You need to change the political system.

Depends on how one defines Communism.
As far as I can tell, Russia is a gangster state and China (PRC) is ruled by the Central Corrupted Party. Communism is not compatible with basic human traits such as greed, individualism, nor spiritual belief.

bySo how do you account for the TOP RANKING of number of CIVILIAN billionaires in these 2 countries if the countries are communist?
In a communist regime, everything belongs to the state and everyone is equal and no one is left behind, so money is supposed to be distributed equally amongst its citizens.

It all depends on how one chooses to define communism, in which case, there are no communist countries on this planet. Sometime, we simply refer to communist countries on how political leadership is selected (eg. by democratic election - like Singapore). Personally, I do not subscribe to "Communism" in that personal belongings do not exist, but for want of a better (or more equal) distribution of wealth, I am pro-communist. In our recent history, the two "Communist" leaders (namely Russia and China) have given Communism a bad name because they both ruled with force and fear and their citizens (until their openly Capitalistic ways) were denied, or rather restricted in travel, choice of religion, and other artistic ways of self-expression. Nevertheless, they have improved the standard of living, however, much to the dismay of their earlier revolutionary visionaries by creating greater class divisions within their citizens.

They kill whom they perceive as "enemies." No different from Democratic USA killing and persecuting "terrorists" and "communists." Myself, I would more accurately say I am pro-Humanist.
Cheers!
Is USA a true democracy? If it is, then why the people has only two parties to choose from? Republican and Democrats.....forget about Independent, because like in every country, money got the government elected. No money, no talk.
u pro life. good for u. but to many ppl on the planet liao, soon it time for some culling. mother nature will never be stop by human.

You really need to mix more with Russians and speak their language, like I do. Russia is very much a "communist" ideological country, with wide support for the communist party, though Russia is a pseudo-presidential type of government, but in strict practical sense, if a country is sterotyped communist, we should never find so many CIVILIAN billionaires, as everything belongs to the state.
So, how can China and Russia be considered communist??
