Cherian George Says PAP Can Easily Solve Short Term Election Issues

yup i seem to get that impression as well...

ironically it comes at a time when msm has suddenly become a heck of lot more balanced in covering a GE than ever before...no doubt this sudden change probably due to the big push by new/social media...but still see the irony...
Second, I can't help notice that Cherian has begun fencesitting. It is difficult when your brother in law is a cabinet minister and your wife works for SPH and he himself is working for a Stat Board. In fact I found his article as an SPH politcal correspondent lot better, enough even to incur the wrath of WKS.

u gotta point on the cost of living issue...however i think it is tied to the growing income gap divide issue to a certain extent...if the lower middle n working classes saw an increase in wages abv inflation on a sustainbale basis then cost of living wld not be such a big issue afterall...btw i seem to get the impression that the poor class r generally taken care of, apart fm those who may fall through the cracks...when u combine govt assistance n civil society assistance...it is the lower middle n working classes who r suffering most due to stagnant growth in wages n increase in cost of living...a double whammy

It's the cost of living that no one has a solution to. Let's face it, if the best minds in EU/China/US/Aus/India are doing an even worse job then SG in dealing with the cost of living. I seriously doubt they can do too much more that they are already doing. Even if they do something, it will specifically target the poor and not pple like us who are stuck in the middle won't get anything

ironically i hope pap continue down this path...if so 2016GE shall be lagi worse for it...n this time not just in drop in pop vote but also in terms of actual seats as well if oppos build on its GE11 success...
A leopard will never change its spots. .
Another 5 yrs of misery & sufferings!
